AALBORG ZOO AFRICAN WILDLIFE SUPPORT
In the fight against poachers Korsbaek Visual donates 100 % of the profits from the "Trunk Tenderness" series to Aalborg Zoo's award-winning project African Wildlife Support

Green line

In order to reduce our climate footprint all wooden frames sold at Korsbaek Visual are made of environmentally friendly material. For Korsbaek Visual only the best is good enough. I have specially selected handmade frames that are of the best quality on the market! The frames are made of solid wood and therefore appear more authentic and raw.

Printed on 230g matte enhanced paper specially selected by me for the best result and representation of an actual artwork. The production line is green and plants more trees than are cut down. EU certified and FSC approved. In the category Art / High end.

At the heart of the commitment to excellence is dedication to using only the finest materials combined with expert craftsmanship, resulting in frames that are not only visually stunning, but built to last for many years.

Why care

Over the past 10 years, the number of elephants has dropped by 62%, and if this continues they could be nearly extinct within the next decade. It’s estimated that about 100 African elephants are killed every single day by poachers who are after their ivory, meat or body parts.

The demand for ivory in parts of Asia has made the illegal ivory trade extremely profitable, leading to the killing of tens of thousands of elephants. Since 2011 more elephants have been lost than born which is putting their entire future at serious risk.

In South Africa’s Greater Krüger National Park the organization "Transfrontier Africa" runs a research camp in the 52.000 hectare Balule Nature Reserve. They respond to emergencies such as injured animals from poaching, and also help return animals that have escaped back into the safety of the reserve.

SUPPORT HERE

I support those who protect the wildlife. 100% of the profits from Truck Tenderness go to the women of Black Mamba APU and the fight against poaching.

Due to the large increase in poaching "Transfrontier Africa" started the anti-poaching group "Black Mamba APU" in 2012. It’s made up of more than 36 local women who help protect the animals from poachers. Today, the Black Mambas are the most important line of defense for the Balule Nature Reserve.

Korsbaek Visual has chosen with great trust in Aalborg Zoo - to donate 100% of the profits from the "Trunk Tenderness" series to their African Wildlife Support. Through education and guidance Aalborg Zoo helps improve conditions for animals and nature, and supports projects that protect animals suffering the most from poor living conditions to the threat of poaching.

I’ve always wanted to use my art to make a difference. Climate change and overexploitation of nature threaten biodiversity. Species like elephants and rhinos are declining due to poaching and habitat loss.

In just 40 years, human activity has halved the world’s population of animals, plants, and insects. The fight against poaching starts with education and that’s where the Black Mamba APU women make a powerful impact. With deep roots in their communities, they protect wildlife with courage, credibility, and integrity.
